Tutankhamun was so frail that he needed a cane to walk. He was suffering from a particularly nasty bout of necrosis in his left foot. No less than 139 canes were found in his tomb. These were put there so that he would walk in the afterlife.

When his mummy was examined it was also discovered that he was carrying not one but multiple strains of Malaria. The most ancient evidence of the disease ever found.

Tutankhamun was a sickly boy.
