PHARAOH’S PASSPORT

This is the passport of Pharaoh Ramesses II.

Thousands of years after his death in 1974, scientists flew his mummy to Paris for extensive examination after noticing that his body was deteriorating at an alarming rate. The restoration was needed.

In order to leave the country, Egypt requires a person living or dead, to have the proper paperwork - including a passport.

His profession is listed as ‘King (deceased)’. A mark of true respect for Egypt’s greatest Pharaoh.
