The hypostyle columns of Dendera Temple in Egypt have towered above millions of people for thousands of years. The last native pharaoh, Nectanebo II, is responsible for commissioning the earliest extant buildings there. 360–342 BC.

The columns outlived the Egyptian civilisation, the Roman civilisation and hundreds of other empires.

But the great hall still stands.
